Kathy Wright and her husband, Chris, moved to the Alaqua Lakes community from upstate New York four years ago. A year later, they were thrilled to welcome their youngest child, Molly, and her husband, Matt, to the area. Since Matt and Molly are members of Heathrow Legacy Country Club, it was Kathy’s first choice for a venue. She planned a remarkable day of celebration to honor her daughter and prepare for the arrival of her sixth grandchild.
What was your impression of Heathrow Legacy Country Club?
The Club gives you an immediate “WOW” impression! The event space has expansive windows with a beautiful view of the course and water features. The beamed and vaulted ceiling makes the space inviting and amazing!
What were you looking for in a venue?
In searching for a venue, I wanted a space that was both elegant and that gave us the opportunity to decorate the way that we had in mind. Heathrow was exceptionally accommodating with the arrangements. Toni Curlin, the Director of Sales, made many helpful suggestions!
How would you describe the event?
The Shower was a great success! My son-in-law’s mother, Alice, had many suggestions and ideas for the decorations and other preferences that made the shower memorable. Upon arrival to set up for the Shower, everything that we had communicated to Toni was in place and exactly as we discussed!
Everything was top-notch — the food was abundant and delicious! Heathrow’s event space was gorgeous and made a great first impression for our guests! Every aspect of the service was excellent – both professional and responsive to our requests! Our guests were very impressed with the event space, both indoors and on the patio area!
What advice would you give to others looking to host a baby shower?
Don’t hesitate to contact Toni and plan your event! Both Toni and the staff at Heathrow made Molly’s Baby Shower a very successful and fun time! Toni is very knowledgeable and made some terrific suggestions throughout the planning process. The catering options at Heathrow are varied and flexible! You can be assured that your event will be warm, welcoming, and a great success!
